Merchant Application: initial requirements

Following requirements must be fulfilled before applying for PayLane Processing Services:

  1. We provide our services to merchants selling their products and services worldwide.

However, at the time being the companies we serve must be registered in one of the accepted countries. If your company is not registered in one of the listed countries, PayLane might not be able to process your company’s payments.

  2. We support most of business types and models.

Please review our short list of business models that are entirely excluded or accepted under some additional restrictions.

  3. If your website is not originally in: English, German, French or Spanish, you would have to launch at least one of these language versions or provide us with the translation of the complete website content (sworn translation is recommended). If necessary, we might guide you through the translation process.

  4. Your website needs to be compliant with the Credit Card Organizations Website Requirements.

Note that if it is not compliant at the time of applying for a merchant account, you will have time to update it during the process of your merchant account’s registration. PayLane will provide you with respective guidelines.

  5. You need to have a bank account to be able to accept your merchant payouts sent via wire transfers.

It has to be a corporate bank account, registered under the name of the company that runs the merchant account, not belonging to a private person (sole traders are an exception).

Find out more information on Settlement Account Requirements.

  6. We offer our services to merchants planning to process at least EUR 5,000 monthly in the long run.

This is due to the expensive and complicated set-up and maintenance processes of the fully registered merchant accounts that we offer.

You are more than welcome to apply for a merchant account should you plan on increasing your monthly volume to at least EUR 5,000 during the first 6 months of your initial enrollment.

  7. All startups are welcome! We require no payment processing history to provide you our services. All we need to support your venture is your solid conviction that your business will succeed.

Note that we might require a business plan if we determine that your business model is a risky one.
